In 2008 Suzanne & Chris started Horse & Plow Winery with the goal of utilizing their extensive experience in the wine industry to create authentic, hand-crafted wines, and boy did they succeed! They work with local growers, all down the California coast, who use certified organic and/or biodynamic farming techniques. They then use traditional wisdom to create perfectly balanced, site specific wines that are vegan, low in sulfites, and do not contain any GMOs, synthetic nutrients, or synthetic additives.

A couple of our favorite wines from their collection are their 2015 Draft Horse White and their 2016 Rosé.

Their Rosé is made entirely from Carignane grapes, from some of the oldest certified organic vineyards in California. They let the grapes macerate with their skins for 8 hours before moving to barrels, giving this dry Rosé delightful notes of strawberry and rhubarb, balanced by a fair amount of acidity.

Their Draft Horse White comes from certified organic vineyards in Napa Valley and Carneros. Chris & Suzanne blend Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Riesling to give this wine its easy drinking brightness and complex undertones.
