We all want to save the planet, and at Good Earth, we aim to take a holistic approach. Eating organic is #1, but another way to heal our planet is to produce less waste. Here are a few ideas to help you reduce your waste while shopping our store:
Shop in Bulk
You can buy as little or as much as you’d like in all of our wonderful bulk sections, including olives, herbs and spices, tea, miso, honey, oils, tinctures, etc. When you buy in bulk you eliminate most of the packaging, as well as save money.
Buy Only What You Need, and Eat Leftovers
31 – 40% of the food we buy is thrown away each year. Revamp your organic leftovers, and try to use everything when you cook.
Bring Your Own Containers or Bags
Use reusable containers for bulk purchases and to carry your groceries. Should you forget your own container, we sell glass mason jars, bottles, a multitude of cotton drawstring bags and PLA corn plastic containers.
Use for Here Glasses, Plates, Bowls, and Utensils
Did you know we offer a .25 cent discount for bringing your own cup to our cafe? Also, we offer glass plates, bowls and silverware when you eat here.
