Our Mill Valley store is looking to hire a Full Time Maintenance Manager

At Good Earth, we are proud to run and maintain a clean, efficient, and environmentally sound facility. We are looking for a Full Time Maintenance Manager with previous experience leading a team, solid custodial experience, as well as basic maintenance knowledge. The focus of this position is to guide and oversee our custodial staff members, focusing on maintaining the cleanliness of the store, cyclical cleaning projects ,and minor repairs. We focus on managing our waste & recycling streams to reduce our ecological impact. Basic handy-person skills are of value in this position. Bilingual required (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

• Tracking and maintaining all cyclical maintenance programs
• Overseeing all custodial/janitorial processes
• Managing/leading custodial staff, including hiring, training, performance management and scheduling
• Supporting minor repair and and facilities projects in partnership with Facilities Coordinator
• Maintaining supply inventory related to facilities and maintenance
• Fulfillment of Safety Program and cultivating a strong Safety Culture

Qualifications

• At least one year supervisory experience in public-facing retail environment
• Bi-lingual required (English/Spanish)
• Basic plumbing and small equipment repair skills preferred
• Strong understanding of the importance of maintaining a clean, safe environment
• Strong communications skills
• Ability to work with computer systems, including HR employee management software
• Ability to be on feet all day
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs each shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs frequently each shift
• Ability to squat, bend, climb ladders, push/pull heavy carts
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
• Strong organizational skills
