Safety Coordinator

At Good Earth, staff safety is our #1 priority. We are looking for a full-time Safety Coordinator to facilitate and maintain the Safety Program for all Good Earth facilities. This position offers an opportunity to significantly make a difference in reducing staff injuries, promoting safety mindset and behavior in all staff, developing Good Earth safety culture, maintaining CalOSHA safety standards, and more.

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced safety leader who has demonstrated success in being a good role model, mentor, team builder and communicator. This position requires strong safety knowledge, vision, organization, and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (and welcome in Spanish). This position is full time – may include one weekend day, but not required

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Oversight and fulfillment of Safety Program
– Developing and cultivating company safety culture
– Supporting Department Managers in fulfilling safety routines & responsibilities
– Training staff
– Fulfilling and maintaining CalOSHA standards & programs
– Safety inspections and oversight of safety documentation

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred but not required
• Minimum two years in safety leadership/management position
• Good working knowledge of CalOSHA high-hazard industry standards
• A drive and talent for teaching, mentoring and developing staff
• Excellent computer skills
• A demonstrated ability to follow through and progress forward
• Organization and time management skills sufficient to balance multiple priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to quickly learn Good Earth’s safety standards and program
• Ability to stand on feet all day, including occasional moderate lifting, bending & climbing
